Top 6 Finalists
(In Order of Being Announced)
Will Champlin
Cole Vosbury
 Jacquie Lee
Tessanne Chin
James Wolpert
 Matthew Schuler (Twitter Instant Save)

Eliminated Contestants
Ray Boudreaux
Caroline Pennell

Well, Caroline and Ray had a heck of a run, and we're really going to miss watching them perform. Handsome Ray is as smooth as they come and has looks to die for, and Caroline's voice was one of a kind with a great personality. However, we aren't at all surprised that they were eliminated because they haven't been the most consistent performers and lacked the range and durability that the other contestants possess. At this point the talent level is so high and being eliminated doesn't mean that they weren't awesome singers and performers. Congratulations to both of them for making the Top 8, and I'm sure we haven't heard the last of them. We were surprised to see Matthew in the bottom three but not shocked because his performance last night was weak and sold terribly on iTunes. We are glad America did the right thing and saved him on Twitter because he remains one of the most talented contestants. This should be a humbling experience for him and should teach him that he can't rely on previous strong performances. At this point, it remains anyone's competition to win, and I think we've learned that past performances aren't going to hold much weight with the audience. They'll have to bring their A game each week to continue to move on. Also RIP to Team CeeLo. Hopefully he makes better decisions about his team next year.

  1. It will be a crime if Jacquie Lee doesn't win it all. It was criminal that James Wolpert stayed and Caroline went home. Ray's down home Cajun revival just didn't have mass appeal. Blake should have had him singing country every week - that's where the voting block is most powerful. In order of future departures: James Wolpert, Tessanne Chin, Cole Vosbury (I don't get him, his VERY short stature or his beard at all), Will Champlin (ditch those glasses, man and smile every now and again!) and Matthew Shuler. THE VOICE of this edition: Jacquie Lee, hands down!

    1. You must be either Jacquie Lee or her cousin something...

  2. One last thought on the show, in general. MORE SINGING & LESS COACHES CHATTER! Let each of these contestants sing longer, or add another song, and just let the coach of the individual comment on whether they followed the coaching! How many times can every singer be "great" or "awesome" or "amazing"??? And, why not ever talk about how often some of them are off key, or pitchy? And, an aside to "Hi I'm" Carson Daly. PLEASE back off that idiotic question you ask ALL of these contestants ("What would this mean to you?".... ) We ALL know Answer: A - "The world" B- "Everything" C- Both of the above!

  4. I never considered the "Instant Save" was solely for east coast, central and mountain time viewers. How could the producers actually incorporate such a critical element and consciously eliminate the huge west coast population. Kinda makes the save wrinkle bogus, or at the very least, unfair!

    1. I believe mountain time viewers are not included, and of course viewers in Hawaii can't participate either. The performers have worked so very hard to get to this point, it makes me cringe that someone's fate rests on 5 minutes of tweeting by perhaps 1/3 of America! The stakes are so high now with fewer contestants - if they continue this next week, 1/2 of the contestants will be in the bottom 3!

  6. Are you kidding?!?!? At this point in the game, she didn't deserve to be there at all. She was taking someone else's spot that was more talented. She sounds like a 6 year old.

  7. I will miss Ray but not Caroline. I thought Cole would go home before Ray honestly. Just my personal taste. Unfortunately, I think this whole thing almost becomes a personality contest at some point. I'm sure there some people voting for Caroline because they thought she looked so sweet not because of her singing. As for the coaches: can someone please stop Christina. I can't stand listening to her anymore. So annoying. The only people she doesn't have any bad comments for are her own guys. All others get: "I would have liked you to pull back a little", "I was fun", "I liked it, it was ok", "I would like to hear more of your Jamiacan accent", blah, blah, blah. Please shut her up! All the other coaches give praises when it's due. But not her....... ugh.
